How to Apply Rubber Base Gel

1. Prepare the Natural Nail

Shape the nails and gently push back the cuticles. Lightly remove the natural shine with a 180-grit buffer, taking care not to over-file. Clean the nail plate thoroughly with isopropyl alcohol, then apply a nail dehydrator followed by an acid-free primer.

2. Apply the Base Layer

Apply a very thin, even layer of rubber base gel over the entire nail. Do not cure this layer yet.

3. Build and Self-Level

Place a medium bead of gel near the cuticle without touching the surrounding skin. Gently float the product down the centre of the nail towards the free edge, then cap the tip.

Turn the hand upside down for 10–15 seconds to allow gravity to centre the gel and form a smooth, natural curve.

4. Cure the Gel

Remove any uncured gel from the skin before placing the hand under the lamp. Cure for 60 seconds under an LED lamp or 2 minutes under a UV lamp.

Apply a gel top coat if desired, then cure again according to the top coat instructions.
